Agnes Boylin Ng

August 17, 1936 ~ January 7, 2021 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Our mother, Agnes Boylin Ng was born on August 17, 1936, in the town of Toisan, China.

In 1950, at the age of 15, she fled the civil war in China and relocated to Hong Kong towards the path to freedom to the United States of America.

A year later, in 1951, she met our father, Frank Ng at the hotel where others who fled the revolution were staying.

In 1958, she arrived in America where she reunited with her father, Tai Fook Wong, and lived with him in San Francisco, CA.  Our parents reconnected in San Francisco and were married in 1960.  They moved to Oakland, CA to start their family where she later gave birth to Vincent, Calvin, Gordon and Cathy.

Growing up, we were not a wealthy family, but she and our father made sure we had a roof over our heads, food on the table, and kept us out of trouble.

Throughout her life, she was able to travel with us to many parts of the world such as England, Canada, Hawaii, Hong Kong, China, Las Vegas, New York, and Boston.

She was a protective sister to Goretti, a proud mother-in-law to Lucy Ng, Kimberly Ng, and Gin Yee, a caring Aunt to Yin-Ling, Kensing, and Mand-Ling Quock, and a loving grandmother to Dennis and Jaden Ng.

She will always be in our memory.
