Dinglian Zhang passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on June 5, 2019, in Monterey, California. She was born to Lian (Liang) and Chiyuan in Guangzhou, China. Dinglian served as a nurse at Foshan No. 1 Hospital for over thirty years. She was energetic, hard-working, and always treated others with kindness and compassion.

She married in 1963 to Guoning Huang. Having moved to California in 2000 after her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, and traveling. Dinglian was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother her entire life. She displayed resilience and grace to the very end.

Dinglian is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughters Haiyan and Haiqing, and sons-in-law Ron and Li; and her grandchildren Karen, Alice, Cindy, and Nancy. Dinglian is also survived by her older sibling Dinghui.
