Donatas Vladas Greb

Donatas Vladas Greb died peacefully at home on October 28, 2019 at the age of 97.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marian; his children Dona (Gary Novack), Christine (Christopher Smith) and Donatas Greb (Marion); grandchildren Rebecca (Monie Hussain), Philip Novack, Blake Smith (Jae), Nora Smith, Alexandra Greb, and Margaux Greb; great-grandchildren Alexander, Robert, and Dot Hussain.

Donatas was a long-time resident of Oakland and Piedmont.  He was also a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.  He was proud of his Lithuanian heritage and always ready to share a story of his early years.  We were truly blessed to have had such a wonderful “Opa” in our lives and will miss his blue eyes and constant smile.

A special thanks to Hiva and Ofa for their loving care of our father during his last months.

Services will be at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Thursday, November 7 at 10:30am followed by Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
